THOSE were the more-official "Here's your corner, connect them to make a line" markers. Instead, there are metal rebar corners set, with plastic caps that had our surveyor licence number on them. Those are just "within a couple inches" essentially. Those stakes are called 'lathe', and we'd get paid to 'flag a line', which means putting lathe up with some pink flagging on the top, or tie it to tree branches, or whatever we could to indicate approximately where the line was. Especially if they've had a surveyor out to flag the line. You probably already have the corners set.
